Chicago Jet Group Receives AML STC For Latitude's Satellite Data Unit

Includes A Dozen Additional Business Jet Models

The FAA has issued an Approved Model List (AML) STC to Chicago Jet Group (CJG) for complete FANS 1/A+ system installations that incorporate the Latitude DL150 Satellite Data Unit (SDU) onto 12 additional business jet models.

The STC is based on the Universal Avionics Systems Corporation SBAS Flight Management system and uses the Latitude DL150 SDU as the CPDLC/ADS-C data link. The STC is approved for CPDLC operations using FANS 1/A+ and meets the PCBS requirements for RCP240 and RSP180.

The Chicago Jet Group FAA AML STC is EASA approved with Canadian and ANAC approvals expected in the next two months. Specific models under this STC are Falcon 50/50EX/2000/2000EX, Gulfstream G-100/G-II/G-III//G-V and Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604.

"The operation of Latitude's DL150 is unmatched from what we have seen in our experience," said Mike Mitera, president of CJG. "This is why we are really pleased to offer this package under our STC. The Latitude Satellite Data Unit (SDU) terminals are high performance and it enhances our position by using Latitude's TSO certified equipment."

"Chicago Jet Group's experience in pilot training really gives them an edge. Add this to their ability to attain Letters of Authorization (LOA) for flight operations makes them a true one-stop location offering complete solutions," said Latitude's VP of business aviation Ray Larkin.

"In addition to this Aircraft Model List STC, we have processed and added the Falcon 900/900B, Gulfstream G-IV, and Boeing 767-200 and expect those final approvals will be granted in the next 2 to 3 weeks," said CJG installation manager Kevin Hufford.
