Choose Aerospace Accepting Applications for 2024 Scholarships

Securing the Aerospace Industry’s Future

Choose Aerospace will provide nearly $60,000 worth of scholarships, textbooks, training systems, tools, and testing fee credits to educators and future aviators.

Organized in 2020, Choose Aerospace is a non-profit partnership of aerospace stakeholders come together for purpose of addressing the worsening paucity of qualified and competent engineers, pilots, maintainers, and skilled peripheral support available to the aviation and aerospace industries. Choose Aerospace seeks to foster interest in aerospace careers by uniting companies, associations, labor unions, and educational institutions germane to the global atmospheric- and space-flight industries.

Currently, Choose Aerospace is in its fifth award season.

Choose Aerospace will provide high school award winners free Choose Aerospace curriculum for up to ten students during the 23-24 academic year, as well as memberships in the Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC), an organization dedicated to the promotion and support of aviation maintenance technician education.

ATEC’s membership comprises aviation employers, vendors, and educational institutions offering maintenance technician curricula. The vast majority of ATEC’s member schools offer Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic programs certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration under Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations part 147.

Eligible scholarship applicants must be planning to attend, be enrolled at, or teach in an aviation technical program. Only ATEC members, their instructors, and enrolled students are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 15 February 2024.
