Air France Strike Slated For Tuesday

Hundreds Of Flights May Be Cancelled

Air France says it expects major disruptions in its flight schedule Tuesday, the day hundreds of thousands of French citizens will stage a nationwide strike.

French air traffic controllers are expected to join in the one-day strike. Aviation officials in Paris said they expect "chaos" among short- and medium-haul routes within France and portions of nearby Europe. Long-haul flights such as those to the United States, however, are expected to remain unaffected.
