GE, Aviall Enter Parts Agreement For CF6-80C2/80E Engine

Deal Extends The Life Of Engines Powering Boeing And Airbus Jets

Boeing subsidiary Aviall has entered into an exclusive worldwide aftermarket distribution agreement with GE Aviation for unique spare parts, excluding life-limited parts and flow path hardware, for CF6-80C2/80E engines that power a wide variety of civilian airliners. The agreement extends for the life of the engine, which is currently certified on 11 wide-body aircraft models, including the Boeing 747, Boeing 767 and the Airbus A330. The GE CF6-80 series is a family of high-bypass turbofan engines, and the -80C2 entered service in October 1985.

"We are delighted to announce this additional opportunity to be associated with GE Aviation and GE," Dan Komnenovich, President and CEO of Aviall, Inc., said. "This combination of superior aircraft engines from GE Aviation and the finest in aftermarket services from Aviall translates into tremendous benefits and advantages for our customers."
