Wings Over The Rockies To Host USMC’s 250th Birthday Ball

Gala At Denver Museum’s Historic Lowry Facility

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, Colorado, announced it will be the host of the U.S. Marine Corps 250th Birthday Ball on Sunday, November 9, 2025, as it commemorates two and a half centuries of service, courage, and commitment.

The gala evening will be held at the Museum’s historic location on the site of the former Lowry Air Force Base in East Denver’s Lowry neighborhood, beginning with a VIP reception from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, followed by the formal ball from 6:00 to 9:30 pm.

Active-duty Marines, veterans, civic leaders, and members of the public will gather to celebrate in a night of tradition, tribute, and inspiration that will feature a formal dinner, music, and the ceremonial cake-cutting.

Maj. Gen. George B. Rowell, who recently assumed duties as the Director of Strategic Planning and Policy for the U.S. Pacific Command (J5), will be the distinguished guest speaker. Guests will also witness the official dedication of Wings Over the Rockies’ first Marine Corps aircraft, the legendary AV-8B Harrier II+.  

Other ceremonial highlights will include:

  • A video message from the Commandant of the Marine Corps
  • A dedication invocation honoring all Marines, past and present
  • The Presentation of Colors

– VIP Reception — 4:00 to 5:00 pm

– Formal Ball — 6:00 to 9:30 pm.

  • VIP Experience – $250: Premium seating, hors d’oeuvres, whiskey tasting and exclusive reception
  • Ball Guest – $125: Full access to the ceremony, dinner and evening program
  • Reserved Table – $2,000: Includes seating for 6 guests and 2 sponsored Marines, with recognition and priority placement
  • Sponsor a Marine – $125: Support a Marine, veteran, or volunteer who might not otherwise attend

Tickets are available on the Wings Museum’s website. All proceeds raised will be used to support the museum’s mission to educate, excite, and inspire the next generation of aviation and space explorers.
