Airborne 04.16.13: Diamond Updates DA40, Bali 737 Downed, AirVenture Cup Is On!

Diamond Aircraft has announced the introduction of the DA40 XLT configuration to further enhance the cabin interior and comfort of its highly regarded DA40 product line.

On April 13, 2013 at about 3:15 p.m. local time, the airplane crashed on approach to Ngurah Rai Airport, due to unknown circumstances. There were no fatalities reported. The month-old Lion Air Boeing 737-800 went down short of the runway. The EAA AirVenture Cup Race will continue racing in 2013 with the full support and involvement of EAA.
