Chris Baker Wrongful Death Lawsuit Settled

Baker Died In 2008 Plane Crash Which Critically Injured DJ AM, Travis Barker

Sebastian Baker, the 3-year-old son of Chris Baker, who died in a highly-publicized plane crash which critically injured radio personality DJ AM, will receive over $17 million over his lifetime as the result of a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit.

OK News, citing the website TMZ, says the defendants in the case, Clay Lacy Aviation, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Learjet, and others, have agreed to settle for $4,375,000. The money will buy annuities for Sebastian, which will pay out over his lifetime.

Baker was the assistant for Travis Barker, who was also injured in the crash. DJ AM died several months after the accident, which some attributed to post-traumatic stress leading to a relapse in drug use. Four others, including the pilot and co-pilot, were also killed in the crash
