Daher's Interns Highlighted for AirVenture Efforts

Exchange Program Gives Students a Taste of the Exotic GA Business

Those chosen for the Daher Aircraft internship program got to enjoy the sights and sounds of a busy week at Oshkosh, as they worked through the annual EAA AirVenture gathering.

The internship program is an annual affair held between Daher Aircraft and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), giving young students a chance to cut their teeth in a real aviation business and begin building a professional network that will last them their whole careers. Both parties began the internship recently, with the newest crop of 4 interns only being the second bunch to be given such an opportunity. The interns got to take to the stage at the Daher opening day press conference, enjoying the spotlight and meeting some new friends in the industry.

The interns get to do a little exchange, with 2 drawn from the States, and 2 from Daher's French homeland swapped between Daher's facilities to expose them to a different way of life and business. The American interns get to spend their internship at Daher Aircraft’s headquarters and TBM production site in Tarbes, France, while their French counterparts get to spend their summer at Daher's American digs in Sandpoint, Idaho, home of their Kodiak aircraft.

The books are closed for internships at the moment, but Daher reminds would-be applicants that the program will return next year, too. Applicants can prepare by visiting the GAMA or Daher site for more details, and possibly get a slot with one of the most popular General Aviation manufacturers around.
