Starlink Available On Cessna Citation X and X+

Leverages AeroMech’s Newly-Issued STC

Textron Aviation announced the availability of an additional high-speed internet connectivity option for Cessna Citation X and X+ aircraft. The announcement comes after the FAA issued a Supplemental Type Certificate to AeroMech for the Starlink system.

The STC takes advantage of Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation of over 6,500 satallites to provide reliable connectivity over land, water, and remote areas that may not have service for WiFi systems.

Brian Rohloff, Senior Vice President for Customer Support said, “Textron Aviation knows customers are after connectivity solutions which elevate their in-flight experience and helps them achieve their mission. Offering Starlink for the Cessna Citation X and X+ positions our customers to experience cutting-edge technology, providing them with one of the best possible in-flight connectivity and aviation experiences available today.”

Textron customers receive factory-direct support, maintenance, and modifications for their Beechcraft, Cessna, and Hawker aircraft through a global network of more than 300 authorized service and parts centers and mobile service units.

Customers can schedule upgrades for installation at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and selected International Service Centers. The AeroMech STC covers Starlink’s standalone system that consists of an antenna, power supply, and router, and requires only a power input from the aircraft.

In addition to the Citation X and X+, Starlink is also available for the Citation 560 Excel, XLS, XLS+, XLS Gen 2 models, as well as the Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 Series aircraft.
