More benefits are in the works for AMA members!

This comes through the offering of new membership benefits for those who fly for business, allowing AMA members to purchase commercial drone insurance at a special low rate. “For more than 40 years, AMA has provided its members with liability insurance for recreational flying. Our new commercial drone insurance is a natural extension of our member benefits and comes at a time when the commercial drone industry is growing fast. Many of our members are flying drones commercially, or plan to do so soon, and have been asking AMA to provide commercial drone insurance as a membership benefit,” noted Rich Hanson, AMA President. FAI, the World Air Sports Federation, has chosen Shenzhen, China to host the 1st FAI World Drone Racing Championships in the first half of November 2018. The FAI Executive Board decided to award the event to Shenzhen after a specially appointed committee evaluated the three qualifying bids from Albuquerque (USA), Barcelona (Spain) and Shenzhen (People's Republic of China). DJI has requested the help of Transport Canada to improve Canadian drone safety by working with DJI to develop a mandatory Knowledge Quiz for people before they fly a DJI drone for the first time. The DJI Knowledge Quiz will require drone pilots to correctly answer a series of basic questions about safe drone use before their first flights. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of the AMA Drone Report!!!
