Gathering Of Eagles To Kick Off EAA's Airventure 2003

A Who's Who Of Aviation Pioneers

Imagine having some of the most honored and legendary aviation personalities - spanning the Golden Age to World War II to space travel - together in one room: Sean D. Tucker. Chuck Yeager. Scott Crossfield. Gene Cernan. Bud Anderson. Paul Poberezny. Tex Hill. John Miller. Bob Hoover. Patty Wagstaff.

These legends and many more will join attendees at the annual gala Gathering of Eagles fundraiser, scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, at the AirVenture Museum. This annual event benefits EAA's efforts to inspire and educate future generations through Young Eagles and youth education programs.

Those gathered will also pay special tribute to one of EAA's greatest achievements ever: the flights of one million Young Eagles later this year, to be flown by Chuck Yeager (below, right), EAA's National Young Eagles Chairman.

The evening also features some incredible live auction items and raffle prizes. Bid for an opportunity to have your airplane painted by renowned aviation artist James Dietz. Or spend Memorial Day weekend 2004 with some of racing's top drivers courtesy of Roush Racing. You can even bid for a Segway human transporter, the newest form of transportation, along with other valuable prizes.

Raffle prizes include a ride in EAA's Spirit of St. Louis replica, a Bose Wave radio, flight jackets, Patti Wagstaff's flight suit, vacations, and a host of other items.
