ACSF Names New Member To Board Of Governors

NBAA Executive Mark Larsen Tapped For The Post

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) has named Mark Larsen, NBAA senior manager of safety & flight operations to the its Board of Governors.

Mr. Larsen oversees the NBAA safety and flight operations initiatives and rulemakings with the FAA, Department of Transportation, National Transportation Safety Board and serves as staff liaison to the NBAA Safety Committee.

Larsen began his NBAA career in 2004 in the operations service group, where he was responsible for researching and answering incoming questions from NBAA members on a wide range of tax, regulatory, and operational topics. Larsen was also responsible for a number of special and recurring projects, including surveying Stage 2 aircraft operators for their plans to upgrade/replace/retire their Stage 2 aircraft, contributing to the production of the NBAA Compensation & Benchmark Survey, tracking flight activity for the aviation user fee debates, and conducting analyses of airport data.

Larsen is a graduate of the University of North Dakota (UND), where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in aviation management. During his education at UND, he earned a commercial pilot certificate with airplane instrument, single-engine and multi-engine ratings, and flight instructor certificate. As an active member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, Larsen held leadership positions within the fraternity as philanthropy chair and director of academic affairs.

“Mark’s knowledge, experience and leadership in the aviation industry will be a tremendous benefit to the foundation’s ongoing and future safety initiatives,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns. “We are pleased to have him join our Board of Governors.”
