GAMA Announces Executive Committee Members

General Aviation Manufacturers Association Rejuvenates its 2024 Leadership

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association publicized its 2024 Executive Committee leadership team, providing strategic leadership for the association while leading its policy committees.

First up for GAMA, President and CEO of float manufacturer Wipaire Chuck Wiplinger will serve as Chair of the Board. Wiplinger has previous stints as Vice Chair and chair of the Policy and Legal Issues Committee and the Technical Policy Committee for GAMA already, giving him plenty of experience to tackle 2024.

Next up, Henry Brooks, President of Power & Controls at Collins Aerospace, will take up the role of Vice Chair. Brooks has served as chair of the Security Issues Committee in the past. After him is Eric Hinson, President and CEO of Simcom International, who will serve as Immediate Past Chair. Hinson served as GAMA’s 2023 Chair and previously chaired the Safety and Accident Investigation Committee.

The Airworthiness and Maintenance Policy Committee will be chaired by Tony Brancato, President of Business Aviation at StandardAero. His committee "works with authorities to promote appropriate regulations and policies for maintenance and repair stations". Brancato has been on the GAMA Board of Directors since 2021.

Maria Della Posta, President of Pratt & Whitney Canada, will continue on as chair of the Communications Committee.

Oliver Reinhardt, the Chief Risk and Certification Officer at Volocopter, and Ben Tigner, CEO of Overair, will co-chair the Electric Propulsion and Innovation Committee (EPIC). The novel committee focuses on "fostering an environment that supports the efficient development, production, operation, integration and maintenance of hybrid and electric propulsion aircraft, including eVTOLs." Both Reinhardt and Tigner are BoD vets within GAMA, serving in 2022.

The list continues, with Technical Policy, Executive, Safety and Accident Investigation, Flight Operations Policy Committees, and more. The full list can be found in the GAMA Executive Committee announcement below.
