Comm1 Scholarship Deadline Approaches

The Third Annual Comm1 Aviation Scholarship Program application process will close September 30th, 2003.

[Comm1 has helped a number of students through this scholarship program -- and there's no counting all the rest of us, that their programs have helped overcome one of the biggest obstacles to comfort and safety in the cockpit: 'mic fright' --ed.]

Comm1's scholarships provide funding to assist young, aspiring aviators to help them get the training to pursue a career in aviation and to help defray tuition and flight training expenses.

The Annual Comm1 Aviation Scholarship Program is at the core of an ongoing series of efforts by the developers of Comm1 Radio Simulators to raise awareness about the importance of pilot communications proficiency at all levels of flight training.

The total award for the 2003 Comm1 Aviation Scholarship will be $2,000 and will be distributed in two (2) equal amounts of $1,000 each to two individual scholarship recipients. The recipients will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants who have met the published eligibility requirements available on Comm1's website.

Scholarship awards will be announced at AOPA Expo 2003 in Philadelphia (PA) on October 30th, 2003.
