EASA Announces Speaker Lineup For GA Conference

Will Discuss A 'More Flexible Framework' For GA At October Event In Italy

EASA has released the speaker line-up for what is set to be one of the biggest General Aviation events in Europe.

Under the motto "Towards simpler, lighter, better rules for General Aviation" and coinciding with the Italian Presidency of the EU, the conference is taking place on 15 and 16 October 2014 in Rome, Italy.

The conference will discuss the progress achieved so far in establishing a more flexible framework for GA and the aspirations for further improvements. On the second day the discussions will focus on small aircraft certification & maintenance, pilot licensing, as well as sharing the same airspace with other activities like those of Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS).

The conference will be opened by the Italian Minister of Infrastructures and Transport,  Mr Mario Lupi and by Mr Grant V. Shapps, Member of the UK Parliament and Minister without Portfolio.

Among the speakers: AOPA, GAMA, ENAC Italy, DGAC France, CAA UK, European Air Sports, German Gliding Association, FFVV, Tecnam, Diamond Aircraft, Austrocontrol, Jeppesen and numerous other organizations, associations and clubs.
