WAI Seeks Conference Volunteers

Meeting Held In Nashville Next Month

Women in Aviation International (WAI) has posted an appeal for volunteers for its upcoming conference in Nashville, TN, next month.

"If you'll be attending the Nashville Conference coming up in a few weeks, please consider volunteering some of your time to help with Conference logistics," the group said on its official blog.

WAI said it especially needs volunteers to help with Bring Your Daughter to the Conference Day (on Saturday) to work with young girls and their activities (flight simulation, arts and crafts, scavenger hunt, etc.)

No specific skills are required. "If you are interested in helping out (for the morning only) for Daughter Day, please contact Dorothy Cochrane. Put "volunteer" in the subject line," the group requested.

WAI says that there are many other ways to volunteer. Attendees are asked to check in at the volunteer desk by registration on arrival to review the tasks at hand and to sign up for one. "You can volunteer for as little as an hour, and it's a great way to meet new people and really get the most out of the Conference," the group said.

The WAI conference is being held March 14-16 in Nashville, TN.
