Deltahawk Engines Seeks To Expand Engineering Team

DeltaHawk Engines, Inc., a leader in high-performance aviation engine technology, is excited to announce two key engineering opportunities: Principal Engineer and Mechanical Engineer III. These roles will have a pivotal impact on DeltaHawk’s innovative mission to redefine general aviation with cutting-edge engine designs that deliver unmatched efficiency, reliability, and performance. As part of the DeltaHawk team, engineers will have the unique opportunity to work from concept to production on advanced engine projects, contributing to a growing legacy of innovation in aviation propulsion technology. 

 

PRINCIPAL DESIGN ENGINEER

The Principal Design Engineer will work under the direction of the Director of Engineering to drive the design and development of advanced engines and systems. This role spans the full project lifecycle, from conceptualization to detailed engineering, including performance analysis, manufacturability, and FAA compliance. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a four-year university, over 10 years of engine engineering experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools. They should also bring a passion for high-performance technology, innovation, and aviation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the design and development of unique DeltaHawk advanced engine design
  • Designing cost-efficient systems that meet performance and FAA standards
  • Mentoring junior engineers and leading projects to completion

 

MECHANICAL ENGINEER III

The Mechanical Engineer III will focus on the design and enhancement of engine systems, specializing in rotating assemblies, gear trains, pumps, and turbocharging. This role requires strong project management and organizational skills, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include supporting FAA certification and creating testing standards to ensure reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the design and development of new engine components, systems and testing
  • Designing cost-effective, reliable systems in compliance with FAA standards
  • Collaborating proactively with engineers, technicians, drafters and suppliers
