FDC 8/1826 ZMA .. SPECIAL NOTICE.. EFFECTIVE 0801221200 UTC UNTIL 0801222030 UTC. AIRBORNE LASER OPERATIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED WITHIN 50 NM FROM ANY POINT ALONG A LINE STARTING AT 243512N/0814800W OR THE KEY WEST(EYW)VORTAC TO 212624N/0710806W OR THE GRAND TURK(GTK)VORTAC TO 250130N/0772648W OR THE NASSAU(ZQA)VOR/DME TO 230000N/0694424W OR THE TOOMS INTERSECTION TO 204700N/0680500W OR THE ELMUC AND ENDING AT 170254N/0670000W OR THE DAKES INTERSECTION, NOT EXTENDING BELOW FL180. THIS AREA WILL BE MONITORED BY OBSERVERS AND THE LASER BEAM WILL BE TERMINATED IF NON-PARTICIPATING AIRCRAFT ARE DETECTED THAT MAY ENTER THE AFFECTED AREA. OTHER VISUAL EFFECTS E.G. FLASH BLINDNESS, AFTER IMAGE, GLARE, AND DISTRACTION MAY OCCUR AT GREATER DISTANCES. THE DOMESTIC EVENTS NETWORK /DEN/ AT 202-493-5107 IS THE FAA COORDINATION FACILITY.
