Offers Maintenance, Pilot And Tech Training
At a grand opening ceremony Friday,
American Eurocopter celebrated the opening of its new West Coast
Regional Support Facility in Long Beach, CA. This new facility is
located on the Long Beach Airport in the Daugherty Skyharbor
Complex.
"We feel that as the leading helicopter manufacturer we should
also set the standard for customer support and customer
satisfaction," explained Marc Paganini, President and CEO of
American Eurocopter. "We are fully committed to providing the best
support in the industry and I feel that to accomplish this we must
bring our aftermarket parts and services closer to our customers so
we can decrease the turn around time for their orders."
American Eurocopter says it is the number one producer of civil
turbine, law enforcement, and air medical helicopters in the United
States. The opening of the West Coast Regional Support Facility is
part of the company's overall plan to bring its maintenance and
repair services closer to its customers and to improve customer
support.
One of the reasons Long Beach was chosen is its proximity to
American Eurocopter’s extended customer base on the West
Coast. Currently, there are more than 200 Eurocopter aircraft in
the VIP, corporate, air medical and law enforcement markets on the
West Coast.
"Throughout my professional career, I have interacted with
countless community based organizations and businesses," said Los
Angeles County Sheriff's Department Captain Joseph P. Impellizeri.
"However, I can honestly say I have never seen a company more
committed to it’s customers than American Eurocopter. The
opening of West Coast Regional Support Facility is another
indicator of that commitment."
American Eurocopter plans to provide maintenance and repair
alternatives at the new facility. The West Coast Regional Support
Facility will house a significant inventory of spare parts,
including dynamic components available for sale and/or exchange.
The large inventory will allow faster turn around times for
customers in need of expedited parts or service.
A full staff of technicians will be on hand to provide
inspections as well as to provide support for off site customers if
needed. Training programs for pilots and mechanics will also be
available.
This facility is just the first in a network of regional support
centers. Additional facilities are being planned for several other
regions around the nation including the Southeast, Northeast, and
Gulf of Mexico regions.
