Volato Expands HondaJet Fleet

Parade of New Airplanes for Fast-Growing Honda Operator

Volato has announced a fleet expansion to the tune of 50%, adding 24 HondaJet aircraft to its stables by year's end.

The announcement includes 3 new deliveries in December, 2 direct from the manufacturer and one managed aircraft from a 3rd party. All in all, Volato added 8 planes to its collection in 2023, keeping up their status as the world's largest operator of the type.

The company expects 10 more HondaJets to be delivered throughout 2024, as well as the Honda Echelon aircraft whenever that program comes to fruition. Volato’s "strategic plan for systematic growth" includes a multi-pronged approach to ferreting out HondaJets wherever they are, whether that comes via acquiring aircraft directly from Honda or contracting with owners to manage their planes. Volato says it has allowed them to expand at an eye-watering rate while "maintaining high standards in private air travel."

More aircraft means greater service for clients, allowing for improved availability and flexibility scheduling their own trips around the world. Volato says its clients "enjoy unparalleled access to aircraft, regardless of their share size". In private travel, particularly the competitive world of fractional jet ops, being ready at a moment's notice counts for a lot.

"Volato's measured and thoughtful approach to fleet expansion is critical to achieving our long-term plan for sustainable growth," said Matt Liotta, Co-Founder and CEO of Volato. "We have been creative and judicious in acquiring HondaJets through the open market while continuing to receive new aircraft from our HondaJet factory order. The recent deliveries allow us to expand our capacity at a pivotal time in Volato’s growth and increase our capacity to support our growing customer base.”
