WomenVenture Gets New Digs for 2024

A Welcome Change for Exhibitors and Visitors Alike

Every year since 2008, EAA’s Oshkosh AirVenture has hosted a specialized program dedicated to motivating women to get involved in aviation.

These events, collectively titled “WomenVenture”, have truly caught wind within the last 3 years, allowing them to expand in both frequency and attendance. Still, as the doors open in 2024, WomenVenture organizers are preparing to welcome more visitors than ever due to its new and improved location.

This year’s WomenVenture venue is surrounded by some of AirVenture’s most well-known attractions, including the EAA Aviation Gateway Park, workshops, and the control tower. This is a big step up from last year’s location, which was on the outskirts of Gateway park and described by Robin Hadfield (International 99’s President) as too “hidden” from the crowds. Hadfield continued by mentioning that the more central placement highlights the variety of seminars, panels, and other activities being offered throughout the week.

Further, the new venue has the capability to accommodate additional guests and exhibitors, making for an overall more inclusive program. 

The final exhibit list includes the Women Military Aviators, Bessie Coleman Foundation, Latino Pilots Association, Ninety-Nines, Women in Aviation International, and many more organizations with a common end goal: to increase outreach of WomenVenture beyond the airshow and invite attendees to join an empowering and supportive community.

The 2024 WomenVenture programming is centered on women in vertical lift and rotorcraft missions, though there is sure to be something there for everyone during the week.
