Pueblo Memorial’s Open for Business

Revised Runway Revitalizes Airport with Smooth Pavement, Extra Capacity

Renovations to Pueblo Memorial Airport’s (KPUB) runway 8R/26L have been completed after a closure of 21 days, granting locals and transients 10,500 feet of runway.

The local Pueblo, Colorado FBO, Freeman Jet Center, is happy to announce that things are up and running there, with amenities sufficient to accommodate aircraft up to a C5 in size. To celebrate the change and entice visitors to try out the new tarmac, Freeman Jet Center is giving double AVTRIP Points through the end of July, which can be had simultaneously with other discounts. That includes those who have Avfuel Contract Fuel or a CAA Preferred FBO membership, that offers an even now upgraded to provide significant enhancements for traffic to and from the region. The renovation project, which began earlier this year and closed the runway for 21 days, includes 10,500 square feet of brand-new runway surface, ready to accommodate aircraft up to a C5.

Todd Engel, general manager of Freeman Jet Center, said the team was pumped for the new runway, since it will make arrivals smoother and safer for future visitors.

“We are excited to unveil our improved runway and once again welcome guests to KPUB with smooth access and first-class amenities, demonstrating our continuous dedication to safety, service and customer satisfaction. Our team looks forward to greeting an influx in traffic with the top-notch aviation services our customers have come to expect at Freeman Jet Center, all at competitive rates.”

Freeman Jet Center's luxe appointments will pair well with the new runway, according to the company. They're hungry for jet business at the moment, declaring the breadth of their support services for anyone heading near Pueblo, Colorado. They offer the usual niceties, like "complimentary internet access" (which should be standard in 2024 when fuel is the better part of ten bucks a gallon, but understandable), an automated weather station, on-site eatery, and comfy crew spaces. For those on the clock, Freeman offers top-tier refueling, DLA-approved aviation fuel, ground support, aircraft cleaning, catering, courtesy cars and rental car arrangements. Locals can make use of the newly expanded aircraft parking and hangar leasing, too.
