ERAU, JSSI Conclude ASA Educational Series In Farnborough

Course Provided Insight Into Aircraft Maintenance And Its Effect On Asset Value

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) concluded their sponsorship last week of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) Aviation Valuation Educational Series for 2015.

The valuation course was conducted in Farnborough, England at the TAG facility on the Farnborough International Airport, which is also home to JSSI’s international headquarters. JSSI provided expert insight into aircraft maintenance and its effect on asset value, as well as educating the class on the benefits of hourly cost maintenance programs.

“It is always a pleasure to support this ASA program, as JSSI has done in the past, and a special honor to host it here in the TAG facility where many of our international JSSI team members are based,” commented Susan Marr, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for JSSI. “We are passionate about educating the industry on the impact maintenance plays with an aircraft’s value so this is a great opportunity to work with our friends at Embry-Riddle and ASA to support this passion.”

By participating in this ASA program, aviation professionals seeking a career in aircraft valuation and appraising or a specialty designation, obtained a certification or met the on-going continuing education requirements. Last month Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University hosted the same course at their Daytona Beach campus with a record number of participants.

“It has been an honor to work with ASA to provide this exceptional certification program again this year,” stated Louis C. Seno, Vice President for Corporate Relations, Government Affairs for ERAU. “As a current certified appraiser, I understand the value this educational program provides and it has been a pleasure working with ASA and JSSI to co-sponsor the two events for 2015.”
