Ascent Aviation Opens New 42,000 Sq Ft Hangar

New Facility Doubles Company's Heavy Maintenance Capacity

Ascent Aviation Services Corporation has cut the ribbon on a newly constructed 42,000 square-foot hangar at its facility adjacent to the Tucson International Airport. The new hangar doubles Ascent's heavy maintenance capacity with 100,000 square feet of hangar space designed to accommodate four narrow body aircraft. The new hangar is fully operational, and the Company will begin servicing its customers' aircraft immediately.  

Ascent CEO Joseph Ng said: "The additional hangar capacity will enhance Ascent's flexibility and efficiency in maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft to the exacting high standards that our customers and regulatory authorities expect from us."

Ascent Chairman John McNamara commented: "The new hangar is instrumental to Ascent's growth strategy, which will enable the Company to continue to provide additional quality and reliable MRO services to a wide range of private and commercial narrow body aircraft."

Ascent performs heavy maintenance services, aircraft modification, transition and refurbishment work, aircraft storage and reclamation services, and consigned part sales. The company has received FAA certification to perform heavy maintenance checks for A319, A320, A321, B717, B727, B737, B757, CRJ 100/200, DC 9, MD80 and MD90 aircraft.
