Finishing An RV Just Got A LOT Cheaper

Engine, Prop Combo Could Save Builders Nearly $4,000

While the company DID release this bit of news on April 1st, Van's Aircraft assures ANN it's no joke.

For many years, Van's has enjoyed OEM status with Textron Lycoming, allowing the kit manufacturer to sell new Lycoming engines to customers at what Van's calls very favorable prices. Now comes word those prices have gotten lower.

Van’s tells ANN new Experimental Lycoming Engines on order at Van's as of April 1, 2007 -- or ordered on Van’s 2007 allotment -- will sell for significantly reduced prices. Depending on the model, reductions vary from $500 to $2900.

Van's also told ANN of the introduction of a new "bundled" engine and propeller option. Customers can choose to "bundle" a new Experimental Lycoming engine with a New Hartzell, Sensenich or MT propeller into one transaction -- and receive an additional $1000 discount.
