Elixer Aircraft Opens New Factory at Sarasota-Bradenton Airport
Elixir Aircraft is setting a significant milestone in its expansion strategy by inaugurating a new assembly facility in Sarasota, Florida. This development was announced at the Sun'n'Fun airshow in Lakeland, Florida, showing Elixir Aircraft's commitment to serving its growing clientele in the United States.

The Sarasota Bradenton Airport (SRQ) will host this new site, focusing on the reassembly of aircraft for delivery across the U.S. This move comes in response to the substantial demand for Elixir aircraft, with over 200 units already pre-ordered by American customers.
The establishment of the Sarasota facility signifies Elixir Aircraft's transition into the next phase of its growth, with a long-term lease signed for a primary U.S. assembly and support hub. This facility, strategically positioned on the flight line at Sarasota Bradenton Airport, will feature two custom and modern buildings. The initial phase involves occupying a 12,500 square feet hangar for aircraft re-assembly, scheduled for Q4 2024. Subsequently, a second building will be added to bolster re-assembly capabilities and house spare parts inventory for the U.S. East Coast.
By 2027, Elixir Aircraft anticipates the Sarasota site will employ approximately 200 staff members, adding to the company's existing workforce in France. This team will be instrumental in providing a range of services to North American clients, including administration, aircraft assembly and deliveries, and support.

Elixir Aircraft's expansion is not limited to Sarasota; plans are underway to establish additional support facilities in Arizona and the Midwest, underlining the company's ambition to strengthen its presence across the U.S. Arthur Léopold-Léger, CEO of Elixir Aircraft, expressed gratitude towards the Sarasota Airport management for facilitating this pivotal expansion. The location was chosen after extensive consideration, reflecting Sarasota's vibrant aviation and sailing community, reminiscent of Elixir's home city, La Rochelle, France.
In February 2024, Elixir Aircraft also announced an expansion of its headquarters in La Rochelle, aiming to boost its production capacity to more than 300 aircraft annually. This initiative is expected to create over a thousand jobs by 2033, demonstrating Elixir Aircraft's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global growth in the aviation industry.
