CAE Expands Toronto Facility with B777 Sim

Recent Additions Include B737, B787 Full Flight Sims with a Dash-8 on the Way at Montreal

CAE has expanded its training capacity for Canadian airlines with the addition of a brand-new B777 full-flight simulator (FFS) at its Toronto training facility.

The new equipment follows the recent installation and opening of the company's B737 MAX and B787 simulators in the freshly expanded training premises. Coinciding with the new simulators is a widening of the school's pipeline for future pilots alongside Jazz Aviation's "Jazz Approach" program. The pipeline allows ab-initio students to work their way up to a first officer position at Jazz Aviation.

The changes are just the most recent around CAE's headquarters, with a Dash-8 Classic full flight sim on its way to the Montreal training center to augment the school's training throughput in Canada.

“We’re adding new simulators and essential training capacity to support the increased demand for pilots from our Canadian airline customers,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation. “Our partnership with Jazz Aviation on the Jazz Approach cadet program will allow us to create a pipeline of pilots for Jazz and provide a new pathway to a dream career. We look forward to making similar programs available to other Canadian airlines soon,” added Leontidis.
