Enstrom Highlights Successes at HAI Heli-Expo 2024

New Options, New Paint Schemes Keep the Booth Busy At HAI 2024

A resurgent Enstrom Helicopter Corporation left Heli-Expo in high spirits this year, highlighting a handful of successes and headlines to further ride a wave of post-bankruptcy success.

Since bouncing back from the brink of failure in January of 2022, Enstrom has had a streak of pretty good news all around. They've managed to build on their portfolio of aircraft with continued options, evolutions, and advancements all around.

This year provided more of the same, with updates to the 480B helicopter in the form of a lithium battery pack from True Blue Power's TB17. That alleviated lifetime maintenance costs, weight penalties, and hard engine starts thanks to an STC'd battery installation courtesy of Airwolf Aerospace. On top of that, Enstrom announced a collaboration with Genesys Aerosystems to install and certify the latest generation of their helicopter-specific autopilot, offering the 3-axis kit as a factory option or retrofit piece. For their smaller 280FX and F28F aircraft, Enstrom embarked on a deal with Kelly Aerospace Thermal Systems to provide their air conditioning systems. On top of all that, an updated slate of aircraft livery helped energize buyers heading into 2024.

“I can honestly say the paint schemes on the Enstrom show helicopters were among the most stunning of any OEM at the show,” said Enstrom Board Director Randy Sharkey.

“There was a buzz that you could feel,” said Enstrom President Todd Tetzlaff. “The excitement and enthusiasm for Enstrom was evident from the very start of the show, and it never let up!”

“If attendance at the Enstrom booth is any indicator of the company’s future, it is looking very bright,” added Enstrom Board Director Randy Sharkey.
