Aero-TV: WingX Geo-Referencing - A Step by Step Guide To The Latest Upgrades

WingX Pro7 Traca Technology Allows Your Finger To Do The Navigating…

If you wanted to see the latest in aviation personal electronics devices, the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) held in November 2016 was the place to be. ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, checked in to find out what’s the latest and greatest thing going on with Hilton Software, the company that produces the WingX Pro7 app for iOS and Android products.

Tom talked with Jim Sweeney, who is the Customer Service Manager for the WingX Pro7. When asked about the latest upgrade, Sweeney said it’s all about geo-referencing, and he says it’s now available for sectional charts and IFR charts. He is also proud of the ability now to use your finger to draw a course that allows flight planning around weather or for any change in course. They call this new technology, “Traca”, as in “Trace-A-Route”.

At this point, it’s time to watch the video. Sweeney gives a great demonstration of the system in operation and provides demonstrated details about how to use it. If you’re into personal electronic devices, you’ve got to watch this video is to see what WingX Pro7 can offer.
