NASAO Announces Henry Ogrodzinski Scholarship Program

In Fond Memory Of A Great Aviator

The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO), has announced the creation of the Henry M. Ogrodzinski (shown below with the late Paul Poberezny) Scholarship Program. The program will be run through NASAO’s Center for Aviation Research and Education and will award scholarships to dependents and spouses of NASAO Members that are in good standing.

All phases of the program will be independently managed by Scholarship Managers (SM) – a division of Career Opportunities Through Education, Inc. (Cote’). SM is a national, non-profit organization with extensive experience in the management of scholarship programs.

In its first year, the program may award 3 $1,000 non-renewable scholarships that may be used for tuition, fees, books and/or supplies. The scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable, however, recipients are encouraged to apply in future years. The deadline for this year’s applications is June 30th. Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll, in an accredited college or university in a 4-year program of undergraduate studies. Students must be majoring in a degree program that is related to the aviation industry.

Henry Ogrodzinski, spent more than seventeen years leading NASAO as its President and CEO and devoted his lifetime to the general aviation industry. Henry O, as he was referred to by the industry, passed away in January after a long battle with cancer. NASAO’s Center for Aviation Research and Education is a non-profit organization (501C) and is soliciting donations to the fund.
