Airshow Too Popular: Another Possibility

He Had the Best View in the House

After we figured out loud that the only way to really screw something up required government intervention, we got this e-mail:

Usually, I would agree with you that when there is a problem Federal government is often near, but in the case of the Greenville Air Fest I wouldn't be so quick to point the finger at the FAA.

Traffic was backed up by 10a.m., long before it was apparently re-routed at 1p.m. As a local performer in the show, I hate to see so many people get turned away. When I flew (at 12:20), I could see that there was plenty of space available for more parking -- but all the traffic was being funneled into one entrance.
 
I like to think that they just under-estimated the size of the crowd I draw!  HA! --Bill Clute
