Hartzell Slated To Make A Presence At NBAA22

To Everything Turn, Turn, Turn

Founded in 1917 by Robert N. Hartzell as the Hartzell Walnut Propeller Company, the family of companies known today as Hartzell Aviation comprises world-leading propeller, engine, aerospace welding, and aircraft maintenance and overhaul concerns.

The organization’s flagship company, Hartzell Propeller, is a global leader in advanced technology aircraft propeller design and manufacturing, and serves the business, commercial, and governmental aviation sectors.

Hartzell’s next-generation propellers embody innovative blended airfoil technology, and are manufactured via advanced machining, robotic, and custom resin transfer molding processes. The Piqua, Ohio-based company is headed up by president JJ Frigge, who rightfully earned his position by way of successful stints as Hartzell’s company controller, general manager, and executive vice president.

Hartzell Propeller’s latest works can be seen in the fullness of their sleek, purposeful splendor at the National Business Aviation Association’s 2022 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Orlando, Florida from 18 through 20 October. New aircraft sporting Hartzell’s aluminum and composite propellers for piston and turboprop-engined aircraft will be on static-display for public viewing.

Hartzell’s broad presence at NBAA-BACE reflects the company’s considerable investments in advanced aerodynamic propellers, and speaks to its long-term relationships with a wide and august range of aircraft manufacturers.

Mr. Frigge states: “For this year’s NBAA-BACE, Hartzell props are to be found on many of the propeller-driven business aircraft on display. Our OEM and aftermarket modifier customers are a who’s-who of the business aircraft industry, and lead the way when it comes to higher performing turboprop and piston aircraft.”

The company’s executives, sales and engineering teams, and product support representatives will be in attendance. Additionally, the staff of Hartzell’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Business Development and New Technology office will be on hand to connect with the broader AAM community, which is expected to be well represented at the convention.

NBAA-BACE 2022’s Aircraft Display Area at Orange County, Florida’s Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) will feature numerous aircraft on which Hartzell propellers are OEM standard equipment. Among the display aircraft will be specimens of Aviat Aircraft’s agile Husky; Daher’s speedy TBM960 and rugged Kodiak; Pilatus’s venerable PC-12, Piper Aircraft’s  eminently capable M500-600, and various iterations of Textron Aviation’s storied Beechcraft King-Air family of twin-turboprops.

On display at Hartzell’s booth will be the company’s advanced, swept airfoil, five-blade, structural composite propeller for Daher’s TBM 700/800 and 900 series aircraft, and a specially designed, five-blade, carbon-fiber Hartzell propeller for Pilatus's PC-12 turboprops. In addition, aircraft modifiers—engineering firms that specialize in increasing aircraft performance—will be exhibiting at NBAA-BACE. Principal among these hot-rodding outfits are Blackhawk Aerospace and Raisbeck Engineering.
