Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Flight Academy To Launch ASE Pilot Training Devices

DAE University has elected to team with Aeronautical Systems Engineering (ASE, Inc.) for the provision of innovative, state-of-the-art pilot training equipment for the DAE Flight Academy pilot training and education programs. ASE will deliver training devices for integration into DAEFA’s ab initio single engine Cirrus aircraft training program followed by pilot training equipment to meet their multi-engine and future training needs.

ASE and DAE Flight Academy will collaboratively develop two (2) high fidelity Flight Training Devices (FTD) and two (2) Advance Aviation Training Devices (AATD) to precisely meet the training and regulatory requirements. Both device types will authentically replicate the latest Cirrus Design SR22-G3 aircraft. The AATDs will provide direct practical training in cockpit procedures and the Avidyne Entegra glass cockpit avionics suite configuration of the SR22 aircraft. The FTDs, implementing full motion simulator technologies, will provide a safe, efficient training platform for the student pilot to gain regulatory training and checking procedural and flight maneuver proficiency prior to training in the actual aircraft.

“It is with great pleasure that we are able to use the backdrop of the Dubai Air Show to unveil our business relationship with ASE as our exclusive flight training equipment provider.”, states Mr. William Roe, Director DAE Flight Academy. “ASE continues to exhibit a professional approach to our teaming endeavors and has proven their engineering expertise to develop quality, value, and performance based simulators that meet our specific training needs.” Roe continued.

ASE’s FTDs are designed to meet the stringent regulatory standards for FAA Level 6 and JAR STD for FNPT/FTD. The devices will be evaluated and qualified by the UAE GCAA for integration into the DAE Flight Academy Cirrus pilot training program. Delivering full motion simulator like performance, ASE’s FTDs have correlated value added features to a realistic Cirrus SR22 aircraft cockpit such as wide-screen visual display, full fidelity electric force-feel aircraft controls, patented aircraft instrumentation displays, ergonometric instructor controls, full flight simulator software, and a fully enclosed training environment. Ensuring highly accurate aircraft performance in their training devices is the responsibility of ASE’s internal flight test department. Armed with years of expertise and on-board custom designed data acquisition equipment, ASE will complete a complex flight test program for the purpose of collecting actual aircraft data. The data will be developed into detailed aircraft software models used to match the simulator performance with that of the actual aircraft.

“We are genuinely proud to be involved with DAE University and their ground breaking Flight Academy.”, comments Mr. Faiek Zora, President, ASE, Inc. “Being a part of what is proving to be a keystone institution bridging between ab initio student pilots and their professional pilot careers is an honor and a responsibility ASE takes very seriously. We would also like to acknowledge the excellent support we continue to receive from Cirrus Design.” Mr. Zora further states that “ASE’s attention to detail and customer focused attitude are the baseline from which we will meet the quality and performance standards mandated for the DAE Flight Academy.

ASE, Inc. manufacturers, markets, and supports flight simulator training devices (FSTDs) capable of worldwide regulatory approval. ASE also manufactures a series of digital electric control loading (EDCL) systems for simulators and FTDs, and 2, 3, and 6-DOF electric motion systems. By developing new innovative technology, deploying an experienced business management team, and working collaboratively with our customers, ASE has developed a proven track record of on-time delivery, exceptional simulator performance and exemplary customer satisfaction.
