Swiss EMS Pioneer Selects Becker Avionics For New Bell 429 Fleet

Digital Aircraft Audio System To Be Installed In Air Zermatt AG Aircraft

Air Zermatt AG in Switzerland selected the Becker Avionics DVCS6100 digital aircraft audio system, for their new fleet of Bell Helicopter 429 light-twin helicopters.

Air Zermatt selected Becker's DVCS because it allows their flight crews to select and control all onboard communication devices for inbound and outbound communications, including; public address, warning systems, radios and crew intercommunications. Additionally, the system has an excellent man-machine interface, proven field reliability, and is able to transmit on up to 8 channels simultaneously, along with providing a radio relay feature. All of these features plus its crystal-clear audio quality made DVCS their intercom system of choice.

Becker Avionics International says its DVCS product is the best-selling special mission digital airborne audio system on the market. All of Air Zermatt's new 429's were built at Bell's commercial helicopter assembly plant in Mirabel, Canada. The Bell 429 is an advanced light twin-engine helicopter that is used by Air Zermatt as a multi-mission platform, capable of performing the full array of EMS, utility, and search and rescue operations from their several bases in the Swiss Alps.
