Recent $1M  Expansion For Fort Lauderdale Shop

Quality Aircraft Accessories’ (QAA) Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Part 145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) shop has received certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The facility focuses on GA accessories, primarily magnetos and exhaust systems.

QAA’s Fort Lauderdale facility services the Southeastern U.S., South America, and now Europe. It also distributes GA products from a variety of manufacturers. With a $1 million investment the shop recently added welding services to accommodate aircraft engine exhaust system refurbishment as well as more employees. In addition, workbenches processes were standardized and modernized, along with a new paint booth, drying oven, blast cabinet, and a full range of welding equipment and capabilities.

QAA is a part of Hartzell Aviation and is an FAA-approved repair station for GA components and parts. The Fort Lauderdale facility serves as an extension of the main shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company overhauls most piston engine and airframe accessories and also provides new, overhauled, exchanged, repaired, and remanufactured accessories. QAA also serves as a distribution channel for many Hartzell Aviation brands and products for aircraft owners and maintenance technicians.

Hartzell Aviation comprises a group of firewall forward companies and products including Hartzell Propellers, Hartzell Aerospace Welding, Hartzell Engine Tech, and Quality Aircraft Accessories.
