McCauley's Debuts New C780 propeller for King Air B300 Series Aircraft

In the Service of the King

Wichita, Kansas-based McCauley Propeller Systems—a division of Textron Aviation Inc.—has delivered the first of its new C780 propellers for Beechcraft’s storied, eminently-capable King Air B300 series twin-turboprop aircraft. The new propeller model, which features four aluminum swept blades spanning a 105-inch diameter, was granted FAA type-certification in July 2023.

The newly-delivered propellers, the first of their kind to enter service, were installed on a Beechcraft King Air 350 owned by Tampa, Florida-based ExecuJet Charter Service, Inc. The retrofit was performed by personnel in the employ of Textron Aviation’s Tampa Service Center.

McCauley Propeller Systems vice-president and general manager Heidi McNary stated: “The new McCauley C780 offers King Air customers increased performance, a quieter cabin. and greater efficiency. For 85-years, McCauley has been committed to delivering creative solutions and driving customers forward with their pioneering designs and strategies. We look forward to continuing to support the future of flight and legendary aircraft like the Beechcraft King Air."

ExecuJet Charter Service, Inc. Director of Maintenance Robert Jones set forth: “I have always had tremendous reliability and service with the McCauley product line. We couldn’t be more thrilled. The aircraft is going to look and perform incredibly well.”

ExecuJet provides full concierge private air charter services to customers seeking flexibility and efficiency. The company’s expertise encompasses all facets of private aviation, to include personal, corporate, and executive private air charters, private jet management services, and consulting service for the purchase or sale of new and used aircraft. ExecuJet Charter Service maintains an untarnished reputation for safety, comfort, convenience, responsiveness, speed, and reliability.

Owners and operators of Beechcraft King Air B300 family aircraft retrofitted with McCauley’s new C780 propellers will realize propeller weight savings of more than fifty-pounds, increased takeoff and climb performance, reduced cockpit and cabin noise, extended Time Between Overhaul (TBO) of five-thousand-hours or 72-months. Moreover, C780 propellers are covered by Textron Aviation’s four-thousand-hour or 36-month limited propeller warranty. Subject propellers can be installed at Textron Aviation Service Center or authorized McCauley service facilities without additional aircraft modifications.

The McCauley Aviation Corporation was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1938. Now known as McCauley Propeller Systems, the company operates manufacturing facilities in Columbus, Georgia and offers a full line of governors, spinners and propellers for both single and twin-engine applications.
