ARINC and AeroMech Introduce RVSM Solutions for the Hawker 700

Installation Kits Also Available

ARINC and its partner AeroMech, have teamed to provide two comprehensive RVSM (reduced vertical separation minimum) solutions for popular Hawker 700 business jets. The RVSM packages cover those Hawker airframes using Collins ADC-80 air data computers, as well as those using dual Collins 590A air data sensors.

ARINC and AeroMech will offer convenient "one-stop" installation service in North America at ARINC's FAA/JAA-certified repair station in Colorado Springs, CO, or at the operator's home facility. RVSM packages are offered in Latin America and Europe as well. ARINC manages the system integration and kit production, while AeroMech brings expertise in the group RVSM certification STC and static source error correction (SSEC).

To date, less than one-third of Hawker 700s registered in North America have received RVSM modifications. "Hawker 700 operators should consider our convenient RVSM solution," said ARINC Vice President of Business Aviation Services Dave Poltorak. "We have worked hard to make it more attractive than the one-solution, one-location choices previously available. Because time is of the essence, we have 20 RVSM kits prepared for immediate shipment to qualified repair stations around the world."

Hawker 700s equipped with Collins ADC-80 air data computers will have them replaced with modern dual ADC-87s. The installation work can be done in 2 days.

"It is a simple and quick solution that can be completed with a logbook entry," stated Tom Robeson, ARINC Director of Aircraft Services. Hawker 700s equipped with dual Collins 590A air data sensors will receive a form/ fit/function replacement and two Air Data Display Units (ADDUs), all made by Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) of Exton (PA). This modification can be completed in approximately 7 working days.

A simplified trailing cone qualification flight test is required on each aircraft to determine the correct SSEC. An AeroMech engineer can perform this test at the customer's location. "Our ability to conduct flight testing at any convenient location is a significant benefit for operators. They can save flight time and travel costs and use their own maintenance vendors at their home fields," said Dave Doucette, AeroMech Vice President of Business Development. The companies also offer required height monitoring flights and Letter of Authorization packages for RVSM compliance.

"We'll do the installation, and we also offer the height monitoring and LOA packages so operators can have all the work done at one place," added Doucette.
