Five Receive Master Instructor Designation In November

National Accreditation Recognized By The FAA

Five instructors have renewed their Master Instructor designation in the month of November.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that all were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. All obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during November 2016 are:

Kenneth Francis "Ken" Wittekiend Jr, Master CFI, Burnet, TX 
Kenneth F Wittekiend is a 6-time Master and SAFE board of directors member. Ken instructs with the Bonanza Pilot Proficiency Program in addition to owning and operating ProMark Aviation Services at Burnet Municipal Airport (BMQ). He also serves as a pilot examiner (DPE) as well as a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's San Antonio FSDO area. E-mail: Ken@ProMarkAviation.net

Kenneth F Wittekiend Todd Underwood

Todd Michael Underwood, Master CFI, Prescott, AZ
Todd Underwood is a 4-time Master and SAFE member. Todd instructs with Wright Aviation at Deer Valley Airport (DVT) and other venues where he specializes in initial and recurrent turbprop and turbojet training.  He also serves as a volunteer Angel Flight pilot and is a designated pilot examiner (DPE) as well as a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Scottsdale FSDO area. Brian Lee Robbins, Master CFI, Columbus, NJ
Brian L Robbins, a 6-time Master and charter SAFE member and an instructor at Trenton Robbinsville Airport (N87) as well as Medford's Flying W Airport and Resort (N14) where he specializes in instrument, cross country, and avionics training primarily in Diamond aircraft.  He also serves as a FAASTeam lead representative in the FAA's Philadelphia FSDO area. Brian L Robbins William G Gregory

William George "Bill" Gregory, Master CFI-Aerobatic Gilbert, AZ
William G Gregory is a 2-time Master as well as a member of IAC and SAFE. A graduate of the US Air Force Academy, Bill is an instructor pilot with APS Emergency Maneuver Training, a Part 141 flight school at Mesa's Williams Gateway Airport (IWA).  A retired US Air Force instructor pilot and former NASA astronaut, he specializes in upset recovery, spin, and aerobatic training. Kenneth Steven "Ken" Fukayama, Master CFI Centennial, CO
Ken Fukayama is a 3-time Master and SAFE member. A former instructor with Prescott's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Ken is now an assistant chief flight instructor, Cirrus Training Center instructor, and Citation II pilot with Independence Aviation at Denver's Centennial Airport (APA).  He also serves as a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Denver FSDO area. Many of the most recent National Flight Instructors of the Year or National FAASTeam Representatives of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
