Pilatus Sees Demand Continuing For Its PC-12

More Models On The Way?

After coming off a record year for PC-12 production and sales in 2005, senior executives at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd remain bullish about sales prospects for the single engine turboprop over the next 24 months.

They have a reason for optimism, as for the past three years in a row the Pilatus PC-12 has been the top selling single model of turbine-powered business aircraft, as reported by the General Aviation Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA). Now in its 13th year of production, the PC-12 is being produced at the highest rate to date -- 90 PC-12s will be delivered worldwide in 2006.

While strong economies throughout the world have benefited nearly all business aircraft manufacturers, the PC-12 continues to steadily increase its market share since being introduced in 1994.

"The outlook over the next 24 months is extremely positive", said Fred Muggli, Head of PC-12 Sales and Marketing for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. "More than two-thirds of the 2006 production has already been retailed by our distributors and at the same time they overwhelm us with aircraft requests for 2007."

Pilatus Aircraft President & CEO Oscar J. Schwenkof added emphasis to Muggli’s comments.

"Making sure our customers are delighted with their purchase of the PC-12 is the critical component of our success in the business aviation market," said Schwenkof. "We find that our customers are often our best sales people, and they are doing a tremendous job touting the benefits of the PC-12."

When asked what future products the company may offer, Schwenkof glibbly commented, "All I can reveal at this point is that we are exploring some very innovative ways to extend Pilatus’ general aviation product line."

Established in 1939, Pilatus Aircraft provides aircraft and aviation services worldwide for the general aviation, commercial, training, utility, and special mission markets.
