The HondaJet Elite Makes Its U.S. Debut At AirVenture

Company Is Also The Presenting Sponsor Of EAA's Women Soar You Soar Program

Honda Aircraft Company's newest technologically advanced aircraft, the HondaJet Elite, is making its United States debut during AirVenture this week.

The HondaJet Elite's AirVenture debut comes 13 years following the experimental HondaJet's appearance at the world's largest annual aviation gathering in 2005. Following its inaugural appearance in 2005, the HondaJet has been recognized for several high-profile awards, became the most delivered aircraft in its category in 2017, broke several speed records and has been certified and delivered in countries around the globe.

"As Honda Aircraft Company marks another milestone at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, I am reminded of how important this air show is to aviators and enthusiasts around the world," stated Honda Aircraft Company president and CEO Michimasa Fujino. "13 years ago, we showcased the HondaJet, which ultimately helped us to commercialize the aircraft, and this year, I am excited to present our newest innovation as it makes its United States debut."

"Since the experimental HondaJet's appearance at EAA AirVenture 13 years ago, we have enjoyed watching the program's success and are proud our event has played a part in Honda Aircraft's journey," said Jack J. Pelton, EAA's CEO and Chairman of the Board. "We are happy to welcome the company's latest aircraft, the HondaJet Elite, to AirVenture as it makes its debut in the United States."

In addition to showcasing the HondaJet Elite at EAA AirVenture, Honda Aircraft Company is the presenting sponsor of EAA's Women Soar You Soar program, which strives to engage, inspire and educate young women to pursue their dreams in aviation. The program encourages girls to explore career options and find new inspiration during AirVenture, providing a unique and tremendous opportunity for young women to discover different entities within the world of flight. Regarding the sponsorship of EAA's Women Soar You Soar program, Honda Aircraft's Michimasa Fujino stated, "Honda Aircraft Company is proud to support Woman Soar You Soar as we recognize the importance of raising awareness of opportunities in aviation for young women. It is deeply important for women to be better represented in the aviation industry and Women Soar You Soar is helping to make that a reality."
