Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

“We worked hard to put together an extraordinary event that would honor our World War II heroes, on the day that we remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation. We are grateful for the support that we received from the FAA, members of Congress, and committed sponsors. Unfortunately, National Parks Service bureaucrats would not let us proceed with our commemoration of the Greatest Generation despite having previously received clearances and held a successful event in our nation’s capital – the most protected airspace in the nation.  It is extremely disappointing that we could not move forward with this commemoration, but we appreciate the ongoing support to pay homage to our World War II heroes...”
