LABACE: Attendance Up 33 Percent

NBAA and the Associacao Brasileira de Aviacao Geral (ABAG) last week jointly hosted the 3rd Annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE2005) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This event, the only Latin American exhibition to focus exclusively on business aviation, had a record-breaking total of 4,971 Attendees, a 33 percent increase in attendance over LABACE2004.

It also featured special appearances by NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen and ABAG Chairman Anderson Markiewicz; a keynote speech by FAA Deputy Administrator Robert A. Sturgell, who also opened the event at a ribbon-cutting ceremony; and a variety of in-depth informational sessions on operational issues of interest to the Latin American business aviation community.

This year LABACE displayed the products and services of 87 Exhibiting Companies at Transamerica Expo Center and 21 static aircraft on Congonhas Airport.
