Getting a new FAA Administrator may not be as immediate as it once sounded... The Senate Commerce Committee is looking into allegations in a lawsuit that alleges that Stephen Dickson, President Trump's nomination to become the next FAA Administrator, retaliated against a pilot who voiced safety concerns with him in 2016. In this case, the pilot, Karlene Petitt, met with Dickson about unspecified FAA violations by the airline. Dickson was a senior vice president in charge of flight operations at Delta at the time. Tamarack Aerospace Files For Bankruptcy Protection

Follows FAA And EASA ADs For Active Winglet System On Cessna Citations Grounding The Airplanes

Tamarack Aerospace filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Eastern Washington District Court June 1, according to court documents. Details of the filing are scarce, but the filing follows the issuance of ADs by both EASA and the FAA in April following multiple reported malfunctions of Tamaracks ATLAS system installed on Cessna Citation 525, 525A, and 525B airplanes.
