strapped themselves to the weapons-support wings of an Apache
helicopter Monday in a dramatic recovery, seen on video which continues to amaze
people around the world.
Search And Rescue Ops Underway For Three Missing
Crewmembers
A search-and-rescue operation was underway Saturday to locate
three missing sailors following the crash of a Navy MH-60S Friday,
50 miles off the California coast. A fourth sailor died while being
treated on the USS Bonhomme Richard, after being pulled alive from
the water.
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) marks 50 years of celebrating
patriotism and freedom this year with three major events scheduled
to celebrate this golden anniversary.
It's A Plane, And It's Landing Here On The Highway!
A 1976 twin-engine Piper Aztec on a test flight from Fort Pierce
to St. Petersburg, FL, made an emergency landing on I-75 Friday
after both engines lost power, according to television station
Tampa Bay 10.
Air Force investigators ruled this week that pilot error caused
an MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicle to crash during a training
mission at Nevada's Creech AFB last August.
The flight instructional staff at Daniel Webster College (DWC),
Nashua, NH, recently implemented a new instructional and learning
tool that's no bigger than a book.
"I don't think it was heroic or dangerous in any way.
At the end of the day it's our job to do things like
this."
