EMS Provider SevenBar Orders GrandNew Trekker

Aircraft Unveiled At Heli-Expo

Dallas, TX-based EMS provider SevenBar has placed an order for an EMS configured GrandNew to operate in an air medical transport capacity. Additionally, the SevenBar paint scheme was displayed on the newly-unveiled AW109 Trekker at Heli Expo in anticipation of future fleet additions across the light twin and light single categories of aircraft.

The GrandNew will join a fleet of fixed wing aircraft to deliver advanced in-flight patient care and transport. It will be equipped with a comprehensive EMS interior featuring single or dual stretchers in addition to options for a rescue hoist, wire strike protection and NVG compatibility.

“The addition of a GrandNew to SevenBar’s fleet of fixed wing aircraft will allow for increased emergency response capabilities and an expansion to the level of care available to patients in need of critical care transport,” said Robert Brant, AgustaWestland's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America. “We look forward to our partnership with SevenBar and anticipate future orders across our product line.”

“Adding the GrandNew to our fleet will ensure that we are able to deliver the highest quality patient care while maintaining exceptional levels of safety throughout our operations,” said Wade Black, CEO of SevenBar. “We’re excited to be part of the marketing efforts behind the all-new AW109 Trekker unveiled at Heli-Expo and for the future of our partnership with AgustaWestland.”

The GrandNew is the first helicopter in its class to incorporate a Synthetic Vision System (SVS), Highway in The Sky (HITS) and Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems (HTAWS) to provide full terrain and obstacle awareness in low visibility flying conditions. The system provides the pilot with three dimensional guidance and detailed terrain maps, resulting in an advanced operating capability which sets a new benchmark in safety.

The GrandNew also already meets the latest NTSB/FAA recommendations for EMS operations to consider the use of an FAA-approved night vision goggle or enhanced vision system into flight programmes, when conditions and missions dictate.
