ChartItAll Aviation Sectional Gear

Chart It All’s Sectional Imprint Gear For Pilots & Enthusiasts

We stopped by ChartitAll’s booth in Trevor Simoneau during OSH22, and obswerved a sophomore at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University “ERAU birdie” that began a venture of making apparel and gear using imagery from sectional charts when he was 11 years old!

Apparently, at a young age, he saw an opportunity to “fund his flying habit” and earn his wings, and hence we have Chart It All, a company dedicated to creating aviation-centric clothing, linen, and gear for the pilot or enthusiast!

Mr. Simoneau is now a private pilot, and seems to be having a lot of fun with this enterprising venture as he pursues his Master’s degree with ERAU, with the ultimate goal of becoming a lawyer, which means a trip to law school is definitely in his future!  A significant part of the success of Mr. Simoneau’s business comes from their willingness to offer standard or customized products in that the customer can request specific sectional chart imagery to adorn their purchase, whether it’s a mug, mask, cellphone in case, apron, sock, shirt, t-shirt, tie, polo shirt, legging, linen, fleece blanket, and bed linen (so you can sleep under your chart). You may be interested to learn that ChartItAll accepts four interest-free payments for most of their merchandise which does appear to be of excellent quality!

Mr. Simoneau freely shares that their printing process uses a technique called “vaporized printing” as distinct from screen printing. Vaporized printing “allows for full-color, all-over designs”. During this process, “the aeronautical chart is printed on a sheet of high-release paper and transferred onto your apparel or gift item using heat and pressure. Heat vaporizes the solid dye particles into a gas and bonds them to polyester fibers”. Vaporized printing produces vibrant, super-soft, permanent prints that are guaranteed to never crack”, whereas, screen printing has a tendency peel or flake over time, losing its richness and fidelity.

He asserts that their “shirts are made with high-quality, 100% spun polyester with the look and feel of cotton and the superior sweat-wicking benefits of polyester”! If you’re not sure where to start, go to the hangar page, and start browsing.
