Hal Shevers Recognized By Cincinnati Business Aviation Symposium

Named The First 'Difference Maker' At The Annual Event

On September 29, 2016, the Cincinnati Business Aviation Symposium (CBAS) bestowed its inaugural “Difference Maker” award on Sporty’s Founder and Chairman Hal Shevers.  Calling Hal “the obvious choice,” the award was presented to recognize the many contributions Hal has made to significantly improve the aviation industry. Since this is the award's inaugural year, the theme of CBAS 2016 was "Be Extraordinary - The Difference Makers."

The annual Cincinnati Business Aviation Symposium was hosted by Reynolds Jet Management, with the purpose to assemble the leading business aviation companies and flight departments from the Cincinnati region to discuss ways to build a stronger business aviation community.

Earlier this month, Hal celebrated his 50th anniversary as an ATP. On that occasion, Hal said, "Fifty years! It hardly seems possible. I have been incredibly fortunate in choosing aviation as my career. I have witnessed aviation technology advance from the wizwheel to synthetic vision.

"I have met literally thousands of dedicated pilots, aircraft owners, technicians, mechanics and others who all form our amazing aviation family. I have flown a multitude of aircraft in a multitude of conditions. But most important to me, I have had the great privilege of teaching people how to fly and sharing my love for aviation."
