Dassault Equipping Falcon Jets With Honeywell JetWave X

Ka-Band System Available As Retrofit Or Line-Install For Global Connectivity

Dassault Aviation announced it signed an agreement with Honeywell to install its JetWave X on Falcon business jets to provide high-speed in-flight internet connectivity for uninterrupted global coverage. The system is expected to enter the market in 2026 and will be available as a retrofit option for in-service aircraft or a factory installation option on new jets.

JetWave X connects to Viasat’s Ka-band network including Viasat-3 and Global Express satellites and it is designed to be forward-compatible with future Ka-band networks. This will permit operators to switch between networks to optimize connectivity and cost.

Jason Wissink, VP and General Manager of Services and Connectivity at Honeywell Aerospace said, “Fast, reliable in-flight data is more critical than ever before and JetWave X will enable business jet owners and operators to seamlessly connect no matter where they fly while enjoying the same high-speed connectivity they expect on the ground.”

Carlos Brana, EVP of Civil Aircraft at Dassault Aviation said, “The best level of connectivity is essential for living and working on board our fleet of long-range aircraft. The addition of JetWave X builds on our long and successful collaboration with Honeywell and keeps us at the forefront of the business jet travel experience. We are convinced that this system will satisfy the needs of our most frequent business jet travellers.”

Dassault’s FalconConnect service, also powered by Honeywell, offers several connectivity options including 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, Inmarsat L-Band, Iridium and Viasat Ku- and Ka-band networks for operators to provide streamlined and flexible in-flight internet access.
