Global 7500 Sets New City-Pair Speed Record

Montreal-Paris Flight To Host Customers At Annual Air Show

Bombardier announced that its Global 7500 bizjet has set a new city-pair speed record on a flight from Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL/CYUL) to Paris-Le Bourget Airport (LGB/LFPB), averaging a top speed of more than 1,000 km/hr / 620 mph and completed the flight in a record time of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The flight was in support of Bombardier’s team that will be hosting customers at the 55th Paris Air Show, with Bombardier Defense anchoring the company’s display.

Just a few weeks ago, the Global 7500 also reclaimed the record for a Paris-to-Montreal flight of under 6 hours. Previous to that, a Global 7500 broke the record for the longest flight by a purpose-built business jet, flying the 8,225 nm from Sydney to Detroit.

Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier said, “The Global 7500 performs at the highest levels across the board, in real-world situations. Bombardier takes great pride in completing meaningful speed records, like this latest one, during regular day-to-day operations with passengers, baggage and cargo, setting it apart from peers.

“As we are getting ready for the entry into service of the Global 8000 aircraft later this year, the Global 7500 aircraft keeps demonstrating its superiority on all fronts, from its signature smooth ride to its industry-leading performance and landing capabilities.”

The aircraft is deigned to suit the needs of business travelers with a max range of 7,700 nm and offers long-haul capabilities including a cabin customizable for the needs of each customer. It features four separate living spaces including a full-size kitchen. It also provides state-of-the-art connectivity and ergonomic seating
