Air Ambulance Caribbean Achieves NAAMTA Medical Transport Accreditation

AeroMD Subscribed To A Comprehensive Audit Of NAAMTA Standards

Air Ambulance Caribbean/AeroMD has been awarded medical transport accreditation by National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) for their fixed-wing medical transport service. AeroMD is a full-service air ambulance provider that is committed to providing each patient with an exceptional level of care and attention.

AeroMD subscribed to a comprehensive audit of NAAMTA Standards, which identifies criteria in all aspects of medical transport, including business policies, licensure, education, skills maintenance, communication, and safety. Awarding AeroMD accreditation denotes compliance with each of the defined standards and incorporates best practice procedures.

NAAMTA substantiates compliance through employee interviews, on-site evaluations, and process reviews, all of which were conducted using ISO 9001:2015 auditing guidelines.

"It’s very satisfying when programs like AeroMD take the NAAMTA Standards and apply them into their daily process and routines," said Roylen Griffin, NAAMTA’s Executive Director. "It was equally satisfying that each person employed by AeroMD subscribes and takes personal responsibility for better patient outcome through professional care and safety. Thank you AeroMD for your commitment to compliance, a huge undertaking, and a privilege to welcome you to the NAAMTA alliance."

"Since the founding of AeroMD, we have held ourselves to the highest standards for patient care. We are honored to have earned NAAMTA accreditation, to reiterate for our team and patients, that our procedures meet or exceed the industry’s best practices," said AeroMD President and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Brendan Anzalone.

"We enjoyed hosting the NAAMTA team of auditors at our Caribbean headquarters in the U.S. Virgin Islands," said Dr. Anzalone. "We take pride in the fixed-wing, critical care operation we have established in this remote region, so we were pleased to showcase it and introduce our dedicated team."
